Nayong Pilipino: A Cultural Time Machine for the Filipinos, Clark, Pampanga

3 Easy Ways How to Maximize Tour Time:

1.  PRIORITIZE.  DO what you NEED to do FIRST.
And then roam around freely with the remaining time.
We ate first.  Made sure it took us 15 minutes.  Another 15 minutes to wash ourselves.

2.  BE WISE.  If the place is too huge to visit all, VISIT only the ones that are RARE or UNIQUE.

3.  ACT PROMPTLY.  Respect other people's time.  When in tour, the coordinator sets time for the group to roam around.  If given an hour, make sure to be back in the bus on time.

In life we cross over short and long bridges. Some still know how to look back while others don't. Have you thanked those people who helped you cross your bridges? Now is the time.

I'm super grateful for my mom who's been and is with me as i've crossed and is crossing my bridges and also my daughter who's amplified myself having become a mom myself and the joy she brings. My bridges are all worth taking for!

Let's celebrate LOVE!! ðŸ’–

"After the hot yet beautiful hot air balloon show, our tour headed to Nayong Pilipino. We were all starving because it was already lunch time. We arrived at Nayong Pilipino safe. I was amazed of the calm, clean and fresh place."

Our Positive IMPRESSIONS:
* Clean & Organize
* Richly Educational
We've learned about the rich way of Kalingan way of life.Quite similar to the Mindanaons.This was an introduction for me to tell Chesca about our ancestors (my great grandma -mum's side).

Old Barasoain Church which means "Dungeon of the Defiant"
"place where Filipinos meet who were against the laws of conquerors introduced to the Philippines"
"It was hand-sewn by three Filipino women by the name of Dona Marcela Marino de Agoncillo, her daughter Lorenza, and Mrs. Delfina Herbosa de Natividad. Delfina is a niece of the Philippine National Hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal.

General Emilio Aguinaldo, a prominent leader in the Philippine revolution against Spanish colonial rule, designed what was to become the Philippine flag during his exile in Hongkong in 1897."

* Air a bit hot but was helpful to overcome heat
* Staff are friendly
* Not crowded
* 45 acres- really Spacious to roam around
"After resting, we took photos and videos while walking around.We visited the mini opera,the old church, the museum for Manobos, the paintings, and others. It's like Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.It was so fun to walk around. We had a great time indeed!"

* Well-decorated
the flowerful arch to soothe the eyes and heart

* Awesome Landscape
"There's a lot of trees, bushes and flowers. Mom said, a lot of schools go there for their field trip."

A miniature-version of the diverse Philippines. We visited and appreciated the representations of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao and others.
Cebu region with the famous Bohol's Chocolate Hills
Visayas region with historic Magellan Cross.
Philippines Famous Heroes and political figures were also featured.

You may enjoy these:
1. Spanish-inspired Colonial Plaza Area. The pathways were complete with cobblestone like the Barasoin Church. You can go there for Sunday masses. This was modelled after promenade centers to the parks in Vigan, a Northern Luzon architectural design. Antique and old churches, buildings and residences with narrow streets and horse-drawn carriages may all be found.

2. Malakas & Maganda. Based on the folklore dating back to the origin of the people how a man and a woman came into existence.

3. Barasoian Church meaning "bara ng suwail," means dungeon of the defiant. It was named after the historic church in Navarra, Spain.

4. Ifugao Village. Shows the rugged terrain, dramatic river villages and lush-green forests. The Rice Terraces innovation of the Ifugao people over 2000 years ago. They were made without machinery - bare holds only.

5. Kalinga Village. The landlocked province in the north section of Cordillera Region. It means Ibang and Gaddang "Kalinga" which means "headhunters."

6. Dr. Jose Rizal's House. The Philippines National Hero's house. Sentenced in a mock trial on December 30, 1896 and shot by firing squad at Bagumbayan, now Luneta Park or Rizal Park in Manila.

7. Emilio Aguinaldo's House. Great Filipino leader. The first president of the Philippines. Was a Filipino General and fought for independence.

8. Apolinario Mabini's House. Maintained his prime minister position in the Republic 1899. A prolific writer, a doctrinaire who wrote the constitution of the First Philippine Independence in 1899-1901. In 1896, contracted an illness that led paralysis of his lower limbs.

By the three-layer fountain

what we thought as the entrance

cross the bridges with your loved-ones and make that trip worth it!
* Mini stores available
"Chesca did a little store visit and found a bow and arrow so we bought it for only P35.00."
* You can charge you phone on the stage without a fee
"We got off the bus and took our packed lunch.We looked for a place where we could buy water. We sat by the center stage. I was able to charge my phone while we ate.Our packed lunch was the chicken adobo. We also had banana. It was so nice to have lunch there. The air was so fresh."

Our Negative Impressions:
* A bit pricey entrance fee
We paid P400 (150 per head x 2 + 100 kid)

*Poor coordination of the security
We got inside the bus and found out Naomi was conversing with the guard of Nayong Pilipino. After a while, she came back and asked us to pay the entrance fee (for those who did not). did not and of course, we paid. Actually, I was looking for a booth where I could pay but did not find one. Maybe because we got in from the back. hahaha.

Naomi got all of the payments and handed it over to that ugly faced guard. We then left. Whew!Why can't people just talk nicely instead of being mad right away.
* Bathroom not enough light
It was clean though you would appreciate it more if it's properly lighted. Tried switching on but the light didn't turn on. Must be defective switch.
