Phil International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta : A Weekend of Everything That Flies, Clark, Pampanga

a blogger's life...thanks mom for these shots!
3 Things Least to Expect

1.  Being stuck in a crowd may develop enochlophobia (fear of crowds).  Breathe.  Don't panic.

2.  Event organizers lack of forecasting of emergency skills.

3.  Why did the EXIT get blocked?  Less manpower to supervise was a mess.

Our Positive Impressions for Event:
* Entrance Fee Affordable
"We were told the balloon owners are mostly foreigners. These foreigners are witty to put up this kind of show and earning from it. If you want to ride, you gotta pay $250.
Never mind for me! hahaha."

* 20-45 mins - Awesome large colorful hot air balloons @ 2k Feet
"It was really hot but I guess, as each balloon was released, we were all clapping.
The show for me was great! A young at heart enjoyed the hot air balloons. We also enjoyed the exhibitions of the paragliders. It's not usual in the Philippines. The three of us had fun even though it was hot. We had umbrellas and found a silver plastic to sit on."
Almost on the top of our pointing finger!  Happy to be here!.

Which one do you like?
Oh yeah! Thumbs-up for the event
Almost on the top of our pointing finger!  Happy to be here!
* Food stalls available
Tents and food booths of different food/beverage to choose from.
"Tender Juicy hotdog sandwich and regular coke was P150."

* Spacious area* Synchronize hot air baloons flying
* Awesome para-gliding show. An unpowered aircraft, pilots fly gliders using naturally occurring currents of rising air. There are several methods in launching a glider: it can be through a towrope pulled by a powered aircraft; or a ground launch using a winch, a vehicle or a bungee.

* With awesome aerobatic exhibitions
Don't miss captain Sean Clarke's impressive routine aboard his Champion Decathlon

*  With Awesome Formation Flying
* With portable comfort room
"Mom, Chesca and I went to the gas station and peed. Mom talked with a new acquaintance who also speaks Chavakano. They told her that this event was the worst. Pampanga did not expect this huge crowd of people to witness the show."

* Well-fenced (secured)
"I wanted to report or complain to them about what had happened but would they listen? people hated what happened.  We hated it. But what mattered the most was we got out."

* With parking area. Refer to the map via online

Our Negative Impressions for Event:
* Exit way blocked.
"After the show, we walked out going with the flow of the people but apparently, the exit was not cleared. We all got stuck. Mom and Chesca lost me in the crowd. Mom shouted my name and I found them. My goodness! I hate being sandwiched between people. You could hardly find a needle in a haystack. We were clamoring because of the heat.

There was a pregnant woman whom we encouraged to stay in the ambulance because she wasn't feeling well. I was worried of mom and Chesca. After an hour of being stuck, finally the exit was cleared, we got out. Can you imagine that? How could the organizers of that event be so clueless or stupid?"

* Too crowded (Friday it was)
* Traffic @ Clark
"We left past two am.  The travel was smooth. But upon arriving Clark, Pampanga, the traffic was a killer. People were already walking towards the place.Our bus just parked somewhere near the gas station and then we walked with the group of people. It was fun except mom stumbled a bit. We met some new friends."

* Dusty ground (road)
"We walked back to the bus. Our shoes were filled with dusts. The bus was a relief at least. But the weather was so hot even the AC of the bus was not enough.  Whew!  What an event!* Bus parked a bit far from area."
* Few security people
* Line for the bathroom at the event was too long
chesca seated on the floor waiting for me
standing in line for the pee
* Food stalls are pricey
"The food like hotdog sandwich and regular coke was P150."

* No seating area (bring ur own mat and sit on ground)
"I made sure Chesca was safe with us. We found a more secure and closer to the area were balloons were flown thus we enjoyed watching it."

* Confusing bus number assignment (travel on)
The bus for our group was parked at the back side. The three of us just followed the group going there. There was a bit of confusion with the bus number. We waited for our bus outside. I messaged Naomi about the meeting place and bus. She advised us that they were checking the attendance at Mcdo. No one has approached us there so I just told her if it's ok, we just wait for them. She was ok with it.

Our bus came and finally, we took our seats. Then Naomi came to check the attendance.
Having a short breakfast at Mcdonalds Eton Centris
