3 Reasons Why People Go to Sneakers St @ Mong Kok, Hongkong

Our last day itinerary was to hopefully buy Drex, a pair of sneakers from Sneakers Street at Mong kok, Kowloon, Hongkong.  Like any other teen ager, wants to have the best pair of basketball shoes. It is located at Fa Yuen Street, the heart of Kowloon.

1.  This is where youth like him who loves to play basketball go to get LATEST DESIGNS and LIMITED-EDITION RELEASES. The main shoes were sketches, sneakers, trainers and basketball shoes. The popular shoe brands include Nike, Adidas, Sketchers, Puma, Reebok, New-Balance and K-Swiss.

So, if you wanna impress friends you got either one, Sneakers Street is your key to your secret.

No wonder, Isaiah really wanted to go there.

We started shopping for the sneakers. The prices seemed to be the same as that of the shoes in the malls back home. Drex and his father, my brother, just had an agreement after checking out like 5 stores. That is to buy the shoes back home. He didn't seemed to be happy about it but Drex knows how to obey his dad without complain. Such a good kid!

My eyes were really glued on nice sneakers. I wanted to buy one for myself but the need was not that strong. Instead, we just took photos. hahaha.

2.  LOCATION.  It's easy to find.  Hongkong transportation system is very organized.  You certainly won't get lost.  All it takes is reading.

Here's where to keep in touch for the updated info:

HOW TO GO THERE:
We took the MTR from Ngong Ping and dropped-off at Mong Kok Station, Exit E2 and turn left.  We walked 150 meters (3 blocks) along Nelson Street.  We got out to Exit D3, then made a U-turn and walked a few steps to Argyle Street.  Turned right and walked 100 meters (2 blocks) along the street.

It is between Dundas and Boundary Streets.  Fa Yeun Street is also very famous for bargain shopping.  This street has a length about 1.2 kilometers and divided into two parts.
1. The south part between Dundas St. and Soy St. consists mainly of local Chinese restaurants and eateries.
2. Further to the north is the Sneaker St. With the length of about 300 meters between Soy and Argyle St., it features over 50 sport shops fully dedicated into sport shoes.

HOW IT LOOKS LIKE: The place was so crowded. It reminds me of Divisoria back home. A lot of busy stores and busy people roam around.

PLACES NEARBY: You won't worry of getting hungry because there are a lot of places to eat nearby. If you wish Chinese, just go south of Dundas and Soy St.

Picking your choice is easy.  You just have to know what you want.

It's a busy street with a lot of stores and management.  Either you want fast or resto, you can have it.

We chose to eat at Pizza Hut after.  It was fab.  We loved their pitcher of juices.  In fact, we took some back to the hotel using our empty bottled water.

Close nearby too are:
Ladies Market
Goldfish Market
Langham Place Shopping Mall
Flower Market
Royal Plaza Hotel
Langham Place Hotel

3.  HYPE.  Can you imagine the adrenalin rush in the middle of the busy street?  People are too busy with their own thing.  But not too busy to litter.  Just make sure to mind your belongings.  Better be safe than sorry.

We felt that hyped.  Even with my menstrual cramps, I was still on-the-go. hahaha.

The kids were still up and walking well. Not until dinner time. hahaha.

Well, what are you waiting for?  Get that latest sneakers easy and get hyped!
