We headed next to BOLINAO FALLS. Have you been there?
Bolinao, located in Region 1, is a first class municipality in the province of Pangasinan and is just an hour away from another tourist hub, the 100 islands of National Park in Alaminos City. Folk etymology attributes the name "Bolinao" or this remote fishing enclave from the fish piece "monamon" or commonly called "bolinao" by the Tagalog, Ilocanos and the Visayans. It is subdivided into 30 barangays. (wikipedia)
Driving thru the dirt road was not easy because it rugged and full of holes, rocks and unpaved. Vanessa had a hard time driving. The car’s gutter got hit. After an hour of driving thru, we made it to Bolinao Falls. The entrance fee was P50 per head and P20 for the parking.
We got off the car and checked-out the vendors selling coconut, meals, softdrinks, and snacks. As you know, we ate a little. Vanessa made some lunch arrangement with the vendor. Their prices were just fair. Thank goodness they're there.
We walked thru the grassy road. We saw some rice paddies. It was so fun. Finally we arrived the falls.
such a family bonding |
1. DIP, SWIM & FLOAT
What a beauty to behold. Waterfalls! We dipped a bit. The kids and other adults swam. I dipped in with the kids and mom since I don't know how to swim that well. My daughter, Chesca enjoyed the water a lot. Much more that Noelle and Ianna were there. It's good to hang-out with your peer huh! all busy dipping |
clear Bolinao falls and just chatting away with these girls |
Andrei, Vanessa and Jason jumped off from the tree. Seeing them splash in the clear waterfall water was fun. I've always wanted to do that but never had the guts anyway. hahaha.

The climax of that trip was when tita Ofelia, tito Rene, Andrei, Vanessa, Jason and Mark jumped off from the waterfall. You can see the facial expression of such adrenalin rush. The splash of the water and the sound of it equalled to memories.
What an adventure! Hahaha. WATERFALL JUMPING!
After a while, I felt my whole body was itchy. Tita Ofelia and I felt the same way so we washed ourselves with soap. Just had to pay 5.00 for the shower.
We bought some packed lunches (liempo and palabok for P40 each) from the vendors atop. It was yummy enough. After some dips and swimming, the lunch was consumed. hahaha.
