Warm Healing at Mt. Maquinit Hot Spring, Coron, Palawan

A 30-minute tricycle ride away from the town proper of Coron, along a rocky, rough and curvy road, lies the famous and talked-about Mt. Maquinit Hot Springs.  People come here to witness its warm grand as it is uniquely situated inside a land premise along the southern coast of Busuanga. Considered rare since it is few of the salt water hot springs in the world and believed the water can heal.  What makes it hot is because of the volcano.  The surrounding stacks of rocks and pebbled floors are not friendly to the soles but bearable.

Surrounding are the mangrove forest and adjacent beach make it so natural.  Tall trees and bushes surround the tub giving a natural feel of the dip.   The 39-40 degrees warm of the spring isn't easy at first dip.  The trick is to do it slowly until the entire body adapts to the warm.

"It was not easy to dip in it but I did so bravely.  Fist, I dipped my toes, then slowly up.  I did it until my neck.  The flooring of the tub was so greenish slimy.  Well, the three of us didn't mind it.  Roan didn't dip anymore.  We were told by the tour guide that the water heals. We enjoyed every moment of our hot spring experience. Moreover, I had some time posing on the wooden bridge.  I just borrowed Grace's shorts because mine got wet."
