Goldfish Treasures, Ocean Park, Hongkong: So Golden Like

Isn't he so cute - a Red Cap Oranda goldfish. Looks like he got a crew-cut hair style

"This is a favorite variety of the Oranda Goldfish. Orandas are very attractive and some of the most populat goldfish in the world, the Redcap variety is one of the most adored. This beautiful goldfish has a large, round body and shimmering scales along with the same long, flowing split tail fin of all Oranda varieties. When the fish stops swimming, the delicate tail fans out, looking much like the petals of a flower.

It is totally white except for a cherry red hood on its head, which looks like a cap. All of its fin are paired except the dorsal fin, and the tail fin is usually split. Beyond their overall good looks, these fancies are favored for their hood. This is a fleshy growth on the top of the head known as the wen. The wen will start to show when the fish are about 3 - 4 months old, but it really begins to form up about 1-2 years and will be completely developed in 2 - 21/2 years."(goldfish2care4)
Continuing at the Waterfront, at the Amazing Asian Animals, we proceeded to the GOLDFISH TREASURES.

In Chinese culture, they are very important. By looking at them we learned the ancestors of these beloved domestic fish. They are puffy like a round ball, with gold, white or black scales, long tail and so round adorable puffy eyes. According to the Chinese culture, one must listen to the messages of goldfish for peace and continued prosperity. Humans and wildlife can co-exist harmoniously together on earth.

so refreshing white Koi fish pond...
The goldfishes were so beautiful.  We saw a hundreds of sparkling different goldfish. They were so cute and adorable. They featured the latest and rarest varieties such as Black Oranda and Blue Phoenix Eggfish. You can also enjoy the Black Moor, Bubble Eye and Fantail.

Chesca and Noelle was recording their vlog but the voice was not recorded because the cord for taking a picture was attached. Anyhow, we took great photos.
Black Moor goldfish looking so silverish

"Black Moors are very popular gold fish and can be found in collectors' tanks around the world. Their hardiness and ability to live in cold temperatures make them ideal pets. They're also good beginner goldfish. Black Moor is hardly enough to withstand colder temperatures, its telescopic eyes cause to see poorly. Because of this,it does not compete well for food and is also subject to injury and infection."

Ranchu Goldfish
"The Ranchu goldfish resembles much like the Lionhead goldfish, but Ranchus have more arched backs and have much shorter tails that are turned-in at a sharp angle. Like the Lionhead, they lack a dorsal fin and will develop fleshy 'raspberry' like head growth. It's tail fin splays out to the sides, almost horizontal and may have tree or four lobes.

Ranchu has a short egg-shaped body, except his highly curved back, other distinctive feature is its head. Available in a variety of colors, the most common are the gold-and-white, red-and-white and calico. They can also be completely black, like the Black Moor or white.

It will eat almost anything you feed it. They love varied diets including fresh food like veggies or fruit and also frozen food or flakes. The hard growth may take at least one year to develop.

The average lifespan is 10-15 years and the Ranchu can reach about 5-8 inches long. The deep belly is 3/4 the length of the fish.(goldfish2care4)."

Comet goldfish

"This goldfish is also called Pond Comet. It's the first variety of single-tail goldfish to be developed with a long caudal (tail) fin. It was developed in the United States from the Common Goldfish in the early 19th century, presumably by Hugo Mullert of Philadelphia, who then introduced them in quantity into the market.(golfish2care4)"

The place's architecture was well-designed. The way the outside landscape was so nice. It was so clean and refreshing. Learning about them was a great experience. We were definitely educated and rejuvenated.

Truly, a great deal of small escape from the hustle of fun and excitement. In the palace, you definitely regain your strength and something about these fishes brings a good sense of strength.  I loved every moment inside.
