3 Things to Least Expect in Baguio City

As a first-timer visitor in Baguio, I had high expectations.  After our trip, here are my three realizations.  Intriguing and amusing at the same time. Have you been to Baguio?  What are your 3 realizations?

1.  MINDANAONS (people from Mindanao) ARE FLOCKING THERE.  They are thriving with their businesses.  Mom has even made friends with some silver jeweler sellers.  Some men are selling leather wallet.  I bought one for my elder brother Andrei since it was since birthday last 18th. You wouldn't be misled because they dress like their culture.
In our province, Cotabato City, during my stay there until in the 90's, even if it's located in Maguindanao, a lot of Chinese people thrive with their businesses. That was why, the city really flourished.  Did you know that the first kidnapping case in the country was in our city. That's because, we had a lot of really rich Chinese people. Just sharing...
2.   IT'S COLD BUT SO SUNNY.
How could this two weather make it together?

Taxi drivers told us that even during Summer time, even when the sun was so high, people still flock coming to Baguio, because of the cold weather.

3.  ROSES HOLIDAY SEASON ARE STILL EXPENSIVE even if Baguio produces them massively.

We all woke up early around 6 am to go to Victory Liner.  We did not eat our breakfast because the food was a spoiler.  Before going to the terminal, we had the taxi driver passed by the market to check some fresh roses.  Mom was looking for the petals only. Apparently, they were expensive 200 per dozen.  We just proceeded to the terminal.  Heading home was a delight.
